Surgery Prayers

Just got an update. Preston Banks will be going for surgery sometime between 11 am and 12 noon.

They are trying to decide if they will do surgery in the NICU or in the OR. Please be praying for wisdom for the doctors as they make all necessary decisions. Pray that the Lord will guide and direct as only the Great Physician can.

Surgery should last about 2 hours. They will make an incision in his abdomen (under his ribs). It will depend on the size of the hole as to what type of repair they will do, either just pinching the muscle and stitching it closed or using a patch. Once he is out of surgery they will get him stabilized and perform many of the same assessments that they did right after he was born. Pray for the doctors and nurses that will operate, that they will work accurately, carefully, and with wisdom.

Dan and Elizabeth will be able to see him once he is stable. Please be in prayer for them as they send their baby boy off for surgery and entrust him to the Lord's hands. Pray that their faith continues to be strong and that the Lord's peace is holding them.
